Wolves are wonderful, beautiful animals. We had a wolf (actually, 3/4 wolf, mom was pure arctic, dad was half timber, half German shepherd), who was a friendly, loving, free-spirited animal. In fact, a bit too friendly. The whole neighborhood knew and loved her, because nothing could keep her from running when the mood struck (her nickname was Houdini), which was quite often — especially when there was snow. She didn’t bark but rather sang, and we would have great family singalongs with us all howling. We also had cats, rabbits and hamsters, and she knew not to touch them because they were part of her pack. She was an important member of the family, and we really miss her.

Great story
