Those with a disposition to cast a shadow on others (to accuse) as being un- or less-Orthodox are often so caught up in the details that this is all they can see; they have missed the forest for the trees; they are more disciples of Aristotle than of Paul. The way one crosses one’s self or bowing at the proper moment in the service becomes the totality of one’s faith, often to the exclusion of “whole” concepts such as humility, long-suffering and charity.
