That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Roman’s 10:9.

I would agree wholeheartedly with this verse penned by Paul but what if?

What if

ALL those before Christ was Jesus could be saved without this confession in their lifetimes?

What if

ALL those after Christ was Jesus but did not live in the Roman Empire at the time of Paul that this rather small and obscure letter was penned?

What if

This confession is but one way God has to accomplish His will and the restoration of what was lost?

What if

Confession of Jesus is Lord is not a requirement but rather a result of an awareness in this life or the life to come?

It is written:

“As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'” Romans 14:11

What if

God’s love and capacity to save is bigger then our time bound confessions and Evangelistic methods.

New International Version 1984

and gave him the name that is above every name,

in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

to the glory of God the Father.

What if

  1. The living water that pours from Jesus is eternal, no doubt – I wish all could see there were no what if’s about it. We see the face of Jesus, but they saw a rock filled with life saving water … two very different forms, but the same exact loving savior. (Exodus 17:6/1 Corn 10:4)

I pray that everyone may question the what if’s without fear and let the Spirit lead them to the wonderful grace-filled unknown. Thank you for this excellent reminder of how mysteriously loving and powerful our Jesus is.
