So let me share with you one of the things I like to do. When I find myself in the company of Christians I like to pretend I am a Non-Christian. So today while I was down in Palm Springs I hand just such an opportunity. To his credit he didn’t try to save my soul in under 5 minutes and so when I had a chance I asked why Christians did not follow the teachings of Jesus? He looked me in the eye and said he had been pondering the same question, as was many of his young friends. He shared some thoughts about the state the church in America finds itself and I was more convinced then ever that the Spirit is at work in todays church. We then started a conversation about salvation if we did not assume everyone is born under the penalty of hell. He agreed this is not a teaching of Jesus but rather of chuech theologians, just then he got called away and I still remained a Non-Christian, but ever more devoted to my Jesus….

In this one I wish to go over the way in which the Christian Church was formed. Keep in mind that Christianity the religion is not the same thing as Christianity the Church. Pauls epistles represented his effort to unify the various localized doctrines and set standards for all the various churches to look up to..In the first and second century the basic unit of Christianity was the localized church usually in a Hellenized eastern city.
Thank You Sugel and today more than then and yet it adapts because adaptation is built into its very fabric.
We go through many transformations being in duality of mind…pushed by ego and emotions…looking for God outside….is not possible to have only one way to God and that to be Christianity…or Islam…is not possible to have one bible and more than 200 christian churches and organizations which proclaim that they are the only true one…all paths lead to same goal….all journeys – to same destination…early or late we find God within and without…if not in this life in next…divine Spirit and consciousness is everywhere…if we like Jesus … we will follow Him…is our choice…young people leave the churches…they prefer Zen or Buddhism…go to ashrams in India coz find that 2000 years after Jesus we still kill each other and grade runs the world…they don’t trust us that Christians will solve the problems of the Humanity…faith is great power…like strong honest prayers…but being self confident and living in love and light…following your heart not ego and mind will make your journey back home a festival…not a misery
God from all appearances is quite diverse
